Join the Asia-Latin America Reading Group for its inaugural event! We will be reading and discussing the English translation of Kŏmŭn kkot (Black Flower), a South Korean historical novel about early twentieth century Korean indentured labor migration to Mexican plantations.

Join us for a book discussion over dinner, facilitated by new CCSRE Executive Director Dr. David Kyuman Kim. Our special guest, Diann Rowland, Stanford Class of ‘94 and a fourth-generation Korean-Maya-Mexican descendant, will be providing opening remarks.
