Geoffrey Hondroudakis

Geoffrey works primarily on media philosophy, with overlapping interests in the history and philosophy of technology, science and technology studies, media and communication studies, critical theory, and psychoanalysis. His research focuses on how dominant forms of knowledge have been reshaped over the course of modernity, particularly since the formalization and generalization of computing. In light of this history, he examines how epistemic practices and concepts to do with scale, systematicity, and aesthesis finction in our contemporary infrastructures of knowledge. Geoffrey holds a BA(Hons) in Philosophy and English Literature from the University of Queensland, and an MA in Media and Communications from the University of Melbourne. In addition to his work inside the University, Geoffrey is interested in independent and extra-institutional sites of intellectual practice.
